Guest Post: Ash n Fashion

Today Ashley is guest posting for me.  Ashley works as a stylist in LA and I absolutely adore everything she wears.  With both of us now living in the same state perhaps we might be able to meet IRL.  Make sure to stop by her blog and check out more of her amazing style! Thanks so much Ashley for helping out this week!

Hi Leopard and Lilies readers my name is Ashley and I write the blog Ash ‘n’ Fashn. I am so happy to be filling in for Amy while she prepares for her move back to the states and jets all around the world… are you as jealous as I am?

I thought I’d share a few of my favorite recent looks. I’m a wardrobe stylist in for an entertainment news show in LA so a typical day for me can be anything from working on a live TV set, doing pulls at showrooms or trying to stay out late at an event (a struggle since I’m a total homebody).

When I’m on set I like to be comfortable and what’s more comfort chic right now than boyfriend jeans?! Now my rule of thumb when wearing looser pants is to not wear a flat shoe, however since I’m standing for hours at a time I like to go with a lower wedge.

I love to visit showrooms, it’s like shopping for free… of course it’s only borrowing, but still it’s so much fun! Again I like to be comfortable but I also want to show off my own personal style. I had so much fun wearing this graphic printed sheer tank, infamous Zara skort and sneaker wedges. A true LA look.

For a daytime event I like to go a little feminine. The lace dress made me feel like I was ready for a tea party – which I LOVED. It’s so fun to play dress up!

Now for events at night, it’s a whole different ballgame. You can really have fun with style and pretty much anything goes. Since this maxi skirt had two slits I decided to pair it with a simple tank. I felt like it was subtle, yet sexy.

Thanks for reading and thanks so much for having me Amy!
